Have the owners of gambling businesses come down and work along side the counselors, and their devastated families.How about duty of care, by the providers of the to the families.
I think we as a nation have come to the point where intervention needs to happen to support people in avoiding addiction to poker machines. If this means creating a card where you pre-set a limit to your spending, then so be it. Drastic measures are needed as the problem is not going away, and people’s / families lives (young, old, everyone) are being impacted in a negative way. Freedom of choice is something we value in this country, but addiction takes your choice away.
