Rev. Bill Crews’ Exodus Foundation breaks the poverty cycle for the poorest kids by teaching them the literacy skills they need to succeed. Sadly, due to lack of funding, the literacy program is now threatened with closure.
The program routinely lifts kids from below the NAPLAN national average to well above it. Over the past decade more than 1,400 ‘at risk’ kids have completed the program thanks to the support of donors and benefactors.
Analysis has shown that because the literacy program diverts kids from a lifetime of welfare it has saved governments over half-a-billion dollars. Click here to read statistics about The Exodus Foundation Literacy Tutorial Centre program.
The Exodus Foundation literacy program is run in Ashfield, Redfern, Gladstone and Darwin and urgently needs your support to keep teaching the most needy children. “Without our literacy program we know many of the kids would grow up reliant on welfare and in some cases, homeless”, said Rev Crews. “Please help us continue our important work.”
